India
​India is a 5th generation Texan as well.  Her ancestors helped settle the Kerrville area.  While not growing up in Fredericksburg, she has many relatives in the area and has been coming to Fredericksburg since she was a child.  Her earliest relative arrived in Texas in 1839.  She is in the process of joining the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the Daughters of the American Revolution as she is a related to Davy Crockett.  She is in the process of having historical children’s books about the area published.   She also works part time as a historian at Fort Martin Scott, the first frontier fort in the state of Texas.

Ann
Ann is an author and illustrator of children’s books on Texas history. She was born and raised in San Antonio and has a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Ann is widowed and has many children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Ann is an Admiral in the Texas Navy and a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Her great great great grandfather helped to write the Texas constitution, signed the Texas Declaration of Independence and was the first secretary of the Texas Navy, appointed by Sam Houston. Ann has lived in Fredericksburg for 24 years.  She loves meeting new people and sharing the history and heritage of Fredericksburg.

Karen
Karen is a history lover, a book lover, and a retired creative writing teacher.  She’s as associate member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, (DRT) which is a statewide association of women who can trace their heritage back to Texas before it officially became a state in 1846.  She doesn’t qualify by heritage but by her love of history and stories the woman share about Texas.  Karen also enjoys meeting new people and sharing Fredericksburg’s rich heritage and history with them.
